Maine Tech Week brings people across industries and disciplines together to share what they know, learn from one another, and see what happens next.

Technology doesn’t belong to one industry, one title, or one kind of company. It runs through the artist’s workshop, the hospital, the farm, the lab, the mill, the classroom.
Maine Tech Week brings together people who might not otherwise find themselves in the same room, but have more to learn from one another than they might expect. It’s a place to exchange ideas, encounter different perspectives, and see where a new connection might lead.
You’ll leave more connected than you arrived.
The week
Each day starts with a different question, and we leave room between sessions on purpose. The conversations are part of the program.
What happens when new technology meets the industries Maine already knows deeply? From ocean science and agriculture to healthcare, construction, manufacturing, cybersecurity, and AI, Day One looks at where real change is already happening, and what Maine might be especially well positioned to build next.
Artists and technologists have more in common than we sometimes admit. Day Two explores creativity as a form of problem-solving, from AI and storytelling to film, media, craft, and hands-on experimentation, with the Portland Museum of Art becoming part of the experience itself.
Technology is changing how we work. The bigger question is what we want to build around it. We’ll look at the bets worth making, the skills that will matter, how communities attract and keep talent, and what happens when AI, education, entrepreneurship, and Maine’s identity collide. Then we put some ideas to the test.
The final day turns toward the people and ideas still taking shape. Founders, students, emerging technologies, new perspectives, and the people expanding who gets to participate all come into focus, before the week opens into a Community Commons built for demos, workshops, introductions, and whatever happens next.

Come ready to learn from someone who knows something else.
You don’t need the right title, vocabulary, résumé, or definition of “tech” to belong in the room. Bring what you know. Ask what you don’t. Let’s build a better conversation.

On Tuesday, the museum becomes part of the program — talks, making, exploration, and an evening that moves beyond the conference room.
Bring your curiosity, your perspective, and a willingness to think differently. The week is designed to make it easy to join the conversation, meet someone outside your usual circle, and follow an interesting idea wherever it leads.
